MEP launches new initiative to help him communicate with constituents
East Midlands - Local Conservative MEP Roger Helmer has today
come up with a novel way of getting his message across to his East
Midlands constituents.
Mr Helmer, who already distributes a popular e-newsletter to supporters
in the region, was last month named as the most effective MEP at
communicating with his constituents. He has now produced a series
of short and snappy podcasts available as part of his new podcast
service.
The podcasts, which give local people the chance to hear Mr Helmer’s
views on a wide variety of often controversial issues, are produced
in conjunction with radio station ‘Tory Radio’
and are an innovative way of embracing new technology.
Speaking today, Mr Helmer said:
“In a new initiative designed to help me communicate
with the people I represent, I have now recorded a series of short
podcasts which you can listen to online or download onto your ipod
or MP3 player. They are each about 3 minutes long and are on topical
issues that have caught my eye”.
The podcasts are available on this page.
